The 2020 Komagatake Japanese single malt from Mars is created at the Shinshu distillery, nested in the Nagano Alps at an altitude of 2625ft. Its distilled character brings forth a unique taste that is clean and sweet. This expression has matured in a combination of ex-sherry and American white oak casks. It is free from chill filtration and arrives at 50% ABV. The nose is sweet and enticing, and the palate gives notes of honey, vanilla pods, clotted cream, and mixed fruits.
