Where does cognac originate from?
Cognac, France, is the world’s most notable brandy region, and is roughly 80 miles north of Bordeaux. It was originally a wine making region. But in the mid-1500s, Cognac merchants began to distill some of their wines to make them more stable for transport and export.

Pierre Ferrand 1840 Sidecar
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Pierre Ferrand 1840
- 0.75 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
- 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.25 oz Simple Syrup
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients and shake with ice until well-chilled.
- Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with an orange twist.
