Fernet Lario is produced from a base of Highside Distilling’s flagship Gin, which is distilled from 100% Washington-grown apples. Macerated with black cardamom, peppermint leaf, aloe ferox, and juniper in a once used Rye Whiskey barrel for up to 8 months. The resulting spirit has a strong mint and menthol forward flavor and an intensely bitter finish, with a hint of smoke. Finished with raw Washington mint honey for a touch of balancing sweetness.
